Maricopa County, Arizona is home to more than 13,000 employees who are dedicated to providing a wide range of services to the public. From public safety and health to flood control, education, parks, libraries and more, Maricopa County employees are working hard to improve the quality of life for millions of people. Recently, Arizona voters approved Proposition 130, which amends state law on property tax exemptions. As a result, the Maricopa County Assessor's Office is currently updating related forms and processes before the next application period opens.
Last year, the Assessor's Office also launched a new mass evaluation system and an online customer portal. The mission of Maricopa County is to provide regional leadership and the necessary public services in a fiscally responsible manner so that residents can enjoy healthy and safe lives. To this end, the Assessor's Office now offers electronic notices (eNotices) for assessment notifications. This is just one example of how Maricopa County is striving to make life easier for its citizens.
